🌷 Spring in Amsterdam: 3 Days, 2 Nights of Flowers, Canals & Foodie Fun
Amsterdam in spring is simply magical. For this short but sweet getaway, I spent 3 days and 2 nights in the city, making the most of my layover as a flight attendant.
My main goal? The world-famous Keukenhof Tulip Festival.
Here’s how I made the most of this colorful adventure and how you can too—even if you’re short on time!

✈️ Day 1: Arrival, Canal Cruise & Sunset Fries
After checking into my hotel near Amsterdam Central Station, I kicked off my trip with a relaxing 1-hour canal cruise.
It’s the best way to experience the charm of Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed canal district, with historic merchant houses, arched bridges, and lovely views all around.

Next, I visited the Anne Frank House—a moving reminder of history tucked right along the canal.
Before sunset, I grabbed the famous crispy fries from Fabel Friet and enjoyed them by the canal as the sky turned golden.
Crispy, golden perfection and a perfect way to end Day 1.

🌷 Day 2: Keukenhof Tulip Festival + Sweet & Savory Bites
This day was all about tulips!
I booked an easy, affordable tour to Keukenhof Gardens that made everything simple without needing a car.
For only $38, the tour included: 🚍 Round-trip bus transportation

Keukenhof was everything I dreamed of and more.
Millions of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, and blooms in every color—like walking inside a rainbow.
Everywhere I turned was a photo spot, and I snapped away because… life is short, and these memories are worth keeping.
It’s a place that makes you smile and reminds you how beautiful the world can be.
When you’re here, don’t forget to take pictures! You’ll want to freeze these moments and look back one day and say,
“Yeah, I saw the most beautiful spring in Amsterdam.”
Back in the city…
I stopped at Hans Egstorf Stroopwafels—fresh, warm, gooey, and unforgettable.
They even offer gluten-free options!
For dinner, I headed to Umaimon Ramen downtown.
It was still chilly that night, so a cozy bowl of spicy ramen and veggie gyoza hit the spot.
The kimchi there? Best I’ve ever had in Europe!
🧳 Day 3: A Quick Goodbye
The next morning, it was time to pack up and head home.
As a flight attendant, I’ve learned how to adapt quickly and make the most of every layover—and this quick spring escape reminded me that even a short trip can leave you with unforgettable memories.
